What does นั่น mean?

A demonstrative pronoun meaning 'that' for objects or people at medium distance from both speaker and listener. Thai speakers use นั่น when pointing to something visible but not close by, or referring to something previously mentioned. More distant than นี่ (this) but closer than โน่น (that over there).
